Older Adults Enhanced Day Support Service
The Enhanced Day Support Service is located within Charnley Fold Resource Centre in Bamber Bridge near Preston. The resource centre is designed to offer and provide a wide range of services under one roof and uses a collaborative partnership approach where by partner organisations work together and provide seamless and accessible services from a community base.
The service is primarily for people aged 50 years and over with complex mental health and physical care needs and symptoms associated with their Dementia, also support, information and advice is provided to their carers.
Provision of a Caring Cafe
The Caring Café will provide a reception service at Charnley Fold Resource Centre which includes support information, advice and general support services to any member of the public visiting the centre. The service will develop and facilitate community activities including self directed therapeutic activities and carers support for individuals with dementia and their families and carers.
The service will support the delivery of peer support opportunities for people with dementia and their carers by stimulating activity or commissioning activity in the centre or other localities in Preston, Chorley and South Ribble.
The service will look to maximise the health, well being, independence and choice of all users and ensure that the service is efficient and effective and makes best use of all available resources, including the recruitment, training and use of volunteers within the centre and across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from single providers; however just in relation to the Caring Café service, if you are shortlisted, at the Invitation to Tender stage there will be an opportunity for you to identify providers that you would sub contract parts of the service to if you wish to.

Interested providers are also invited to an information day on Wednesday 3 October at 10am to be held at East Cliff County Offices, Preston.

Due to the venue size we are limited to only offering two places per organisation initially. Please ensure you book any places by Monday 1 October 2012.
Providers wishing to express an interest are required to complete an electronic pre qualification questionnaire via the e-tendering website.
Providers who are already registered on the e-tendering website will be able to access the questionnaire by logging in to the website. Providers who are not currently registered on the e-tendering website will need to go to the above web address and register as a new user.
Questionnaires must be completed and returned electronically via the e-tendering website by 10am on Friday 19 October 2012.
