News: Older People's Day Time Support Services in Burnley and Pendle (East Lancashire)
Lancashire County Council (LCC) are inviting suitably experienced organisations to deliver Older People's Day Time Support Services in Burnley and Pendle (East Lancashire).
The Day Time Support Services for adults and older people (aged 50 years and over) are within the Burnley and Pendle districts of East Lancashire. The current building bases being utilised to deliver these services are in Burnley, Padiham and Nelson. The services are designed to offer and provide a range of flexible activities to support people's health and wellbeing needs. People with Dementia (including early onset Dementia), disability and frailty who are FACS (Fair Access to Care Services) eligible are able to access the services.
The service is for adults and older people (aged 50 years and over) living with Dementia and/or early onset Dementia and for people (aged 50 years or over) living with disability and/or frailty and their carers. This includes providing culturally appropriate support to older people and carers from local Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Communities. Support, information and advice is also provided to these people and their carer's.
There is an expectation that the successful provider(s) will adopt and further enhance the current philosophy and approach held at the Day Time Support Services whereby partner organisations work together to provide person centred, flexible opportunities and support services to people who have a range of needs and aspirations.
It is LCC's intention that the contracts awarded will start on the 1st April 2014 and continue for a 1 year duration with the option to extend annually for a maximum contract duration of 3 years.
The contracts will be tendered in Lots:
Lot 1: Older People's Day Time Support Services in Burnley
Lot 2: Older People's Day Time Support Services in Pendle
